How to Separate PDF Pages with Images

Sometimes you may come across a PDF file with pages that have images and wonder how to separate the pages. This is especially if you want to save the PDF pages as single or multiple-page files.

The way to go about this is to split the PDF, assuming you want to separate the pages. If the idea is to extract the images, ways of doing it include using your print screen button, via offline programs or online.

Here is how you can split or separate PDF document pages when there are embedded images.

How to separate PDF pages with images

You can easily separate PDF pages that have images using our online tool.

The first step is to go to the PDF.co website. Sign up and add some credits that will allow you to access the PDF tools page.

Select split PDF to go to the next step. Here, choose a file to upload if you have it saved on your computer or alternatively, add it directly from Dropbox.

Once you upload the file, give it a few minutes to upload. Once uploaded, a pop-up window will ask you to choose the pages you want to separate. You can pick pages with images from the PDF by clicking on the display of the thumbnail.

Next, click on “Proceed”. The system will automatically separate the PDF pages with images and return downloadable links. Download the file to save on your computer or click “Save to Dropbox.”

There you are! The PDF document with images will be separated.

How to save images from a PDF file easily

If you receive or come across a PDF file with an image and wish to save these images, then here is an easy way to do it.

On a Windows PC, use the Windows icon and the ‘prt sc’ button to copy the image. Press the two buttons at once to copy the image onto your clipboard. Go to Pictures>Screenshots from where you can edit save, or share the images.

You can choose to save the image in several formats (PNG, GIF, or JPEG).

If you want the image as a PDF file, go to File and Save As. Select PDF to convert the image.

If you have a Mac, you can separate PDF images using the built-in Preview app. Open the PDF file then go to "View>Thumbnails". Select the PDF pages to separate.
