Split PDF File for Reporting
Splitting PDF files for reports works when you have one file from which there is a whole load of individual records.
You’ll need to have access to a PDF Splitter that lets you split PDFs by text content or other specified parameters. For example, you can split a report by custom parameters like Invoice, Unique ID, or by Order type.
Instead of manually splitting the PDF file into multiple pages and then merging them to create a seamless report, use a PDF splitter that uniquely does this for you via a command line. You can write the code for the command line yourself, but for most people, it works just fine to use open-source protocols that are widely available.
The splitting tool automatically splits the content of the document per your defined rules, which you can then save as PDFs or convert into other document types. Let’s say you have a file with page numbers, employee names, or table of contents. You can use special apps to first extract the pages per the criteria, compare them, and create a new PDF file with matching content.
